Sleep, Elusive Sleep – Fm September 10th, 2015

Sleep, elusive sleep, thou dost betray me. Such a fickle mistress. Too often under the bright sun I feel your soft, stealthy touch when it is not my wont. Yet when the hour is late and my need is greatest I am denied the warmth and comfort of your embrace. Tempt me not on the morrow when I need you not. Your seductive wiles ill serve me when dawn has come and gone. Save your seductions for the deep dark night and the silent shadows cast by the moon. Wander not afar and grant me solace in sleep all consuming ’til cock’s crow on the new day.
